The Three Threads is a new store retailing both menswear and womenswear out of a 1000sq/ft location on Charlotte Road, opposite the Princes School of Drawing in Shoreditch.

The Three Threads name is both a nod to the three principal parts of distribution company Work In Progress - Carhartt, Edwin and Pointer, but it also takes its name from the precursor to London Porter first served at the Bell Brew-house on Curtain Road in the early 1700's. The beer connection is reflected in the shop fit, designed and realised by Martin Lau with artwork by Fergus (Tonite) and is celebrated in a beer brewed specifically for the shop by Meantime.

Carhartt, Pointer Footwear and Edwin are all well represented along with other brands that have been chosen to compliment this selection, including the casual favorites Fjall Raven and Clarks Originals, Andy Muller's Quiet Life, Toby Shaull's Suburban Bliss and Tonite. The Three Threads as a clothing brand will be launched in the next few months and will reflect the changing artwork in the store that draws influences from The Three Threads collective shared interests.

Tenderloin (the most rare of labels, an un-hyped Japanese brand) is also stocked, its range consists of stitch perfect workwear reproductions along with a line of jewelry and accessories. The Three Threads will be the only U.K. stockist of Alakazam (the medicom lifestyle label from Will Sweeney) and the Sydney-based Supply label.

The womenswear selection concentrates on similarly under distributed labels which includes Built by Wendy.
