Speaking of The River is part of a wider project commissioned by the Public Art Development Trust, linking the Thames with the Hudson River in New York. De Jong has created a gentle and evocative sound-scape using recorded interviews and stories, which relate the human experience of both locations, told by people for whom the river is a daily presence.
