A shortlist of six artists for the next work to go on the Fourth Plinth was announced in 28 November 2007, and their proposals for the next work to go on the Fourth Plinth have been unveiled.

Models of the six proposals are on show from 8 January 2008 until 30 March 2008 at the Annenberg Court, the National Gallery.

The selected artist is due to be announced by the Mayor of London in 2008, with the artwork they produce being installed after the current work, Model for a Hotel 2007 by Thomas Schütte, has been taken down.
