  • Lucie Winterson:Thinking Nature “But to the Eyes of the Man of Imagination, Nature is Imagination itself” William Blake Western culture has divided and opposed culture and nature, most often to the destruction and detriment of nature but also with the result of alienating human culture from a creative contact with natural reality. There are, however, ways in which culture does and can find its way back to nature and it is argued that poetry is a place where culture and nature can meet. If for poetry you also read painting, then the work of Lucie Winterson is situated here.
