Misty horizons, statically charged skies and visions of memory distorted by fantasy combine in this lyrical painting and drawing show. Three artists respond to landscape in diverse ways.

Robin Dixon's small paintings witness the intervention of man in the landscape. Often referring to coastal ports, hilltops and flat landscapes the sky is a dominant presence. Inventive and unusual compositions, make visible unseen energies such as radio waves and theoretical structures underpinning cloud formations.

Rachel Labovitch successfully attempts the challenging problem of drawing mist.Using the motif of trees strung along a horizon, she describes the sensation of forms emerging and dissolving in an uncomplicated and remarkably beautiful way.

Caroline List's interpretation of landscape is influenced by both our direct engagement and collective memory. Hovering between fact and fiction, the hyper-coloured paintings appear dreamlike and create images that exist as memory distorted by fantasy.

A regular exhibitor at Seven Seven, Robin Dixon is currently showing in the Jerwood Painting Awards. Previously, he has shown at, the Kontainer Gallery, Los Angeles, The Corridor Gallery Reyjavik and in numerous group shows.

Rachel Labovitch is a recent post graduate from Wimbledon School of Art.

Caroline List is well known as an artist and an active curator on the London Art scene and her work is in many important collections.
