Bill Pryde is an artist whose iconic choice of subject matter and graphic simplicity seem to belie the handmade nature of his small editions of self-made screenprints. Situated in the tradition of classic British artists Patrick Caulfield and Gary Hume, Bill's work asserts itself as very much his own. In these prints he uses natural forms in an autobiographical context, capturing the fragility of life forms in their own fleeting dramatic moment. The Making Paradise series tenderly express regeneration and growth.

Bill is a keyholder at East London Printmakers, and was a resident artist at the Florence Trust, Islington in 2005. He is currently collaborating with Artizan Editions, Hove, and is showing new work at the Curwen gallery in May 2008.
