John Jones will be running 3 free workshops throughout the exhibtion SPACE NOW! on 11th, 18th and 25th July 2008.

Choosing the appropriate surface and support represents a key difference between aspiring artists and professionals. Due to the increased importance on the longevity of artwork, Galleries and Collectors now demand that an artist is informed about the materials and surfaces that they use. The types of surfaces that you select essentially represent the structural foundation of your painting.

The choices you make at this early stage can affect the outcome and longevity of your work, as well as your options and those of any prospective collectors when it comes to displaying or framing. John Jones workshops are intended to share advice and pass on experiences on the selection and preparation of professional artist surfaces.
