Summer Heat, Love, Laughter and Mental Well Being .

Saturday 15 August 2009, 12noon at Maudsley Hospital
Join us with walk leader Catherine Bowen-Colthurst for another leisurely and informative shuffle through South London. The August walk explores Laughter and Well-being. Leave the credit crunch and swine flu behind and join us for a fun day out, enhance your physical and mental well-being through exercise and laughter, discover local history, famous & infamous inhabitants of Southwark, and uncover the history of mental health in Southwark. Walkers will be treated to a short introduction to a laughter workshop.
CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle is a guided cultural walk from Maudsley Hospital to Tate Modern designed to encourage mental and physical well being, through art, exercise, humour and history, de-stigmatizing mental distress.
We meet at 12noon at the main entrance of Maudsley Hospital, Denmark Hill, SE5 8AZ. The walk is 5.8 miles, please allow 3-4 hours to finish this walk. Please wear sensible shoes, bring some food and water. Call us on 07985658443 if you want more information or can’t find us on the day.
