She is based in Norwich and studied at Norwich School of Art & Design. Matthew's work explores the relationships between artist and audience, between the perceived and the undefined, between the voyeur and the narcissist through the use of video installations utilising CCTV surveillance systems. The images are shown LIVE unedited, often showing periods of inactivity, bringing with it a sense of loneliness and sadness - compelling the viewer to participate to bring it to life. |
