I am a highly proactive artist and curator with an experimental and inventive approach. I am always looking to advance and hone the skills I currently possess, with a strong desire to develop work which is captivating and has a long lasting impact on the viewer.I am interested in meaningless artefacts, objects that were once designed only for a specific purpose, but without the other related parts of the machine or device, are nothing but scrap.

I look for and collect these artefacts from scrap yards and recycling centres. I use anything with a distinctive design, also crossing over to the living world and casting dead animals, such as squids, to use as objects. I combine these artefacts to compose stills, landscapes of shape and colour. I question the idea of a functional design by offering a composition, a forced marriage between unrelated parts. As my working methods are very process based, I am always looking to develop and explore different techniques and approaches to painting.
